Op-Ed Submission – A Society That Sees the Risk… Yet Keeps Choosing Life

In light of the recent findings released by the Gallup International Association (End-of-Year Survey 2025), I am pleased to share with you an opinion article that offers a timely and data-driven perspective on a compelling demographic paradox.

Please find attached an article titled:
“A Society That Sees the Risk… Yet Keeps Choosing Life: The Palestinian Demographic Paradox”

Authored by Dr. Nabil Kukali, Founder and President of the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO), the article provides an analytical reading of global demographic trends, with a particular focus on the Palestinian case.

Drawing on findings from a global survey covering 59 countries on population growth and 61 countries on the ideal number of children, the article highlights how Palestinian society diverges from prevailing global patterns. While many societies are increasingly moving toward smaller families despite concerns over population decline, the Palestinian case presents a unique contrast—where awareness of rapid population growth coexists with a continued preference for larger families.

The article goes beyond statistical observation to explore the broader social, cultural, and political dimensions shaping this phenomenon, offering insights relevant to global discussions on demography, identity, and societal resilience.

Kindly note that attached you will find the article authored by Dr. Nabil Kukali in both Arabic and English for your review, in addition to the Gallup International global study.

This submission is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I would be pleased to provide any additional information if needed.
