From Recognition to Capacity-Building: Has the World Begun Investing in the Palestinian State Before Full Sovereignty?

The article examines a significant transformation currently taking place in international engagement with the Palestinian issue. Drawing on findings from a public opinion survey conducted by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO), as well as recent international developments, the article explores the growing convergence between international recognition of the State of Palestine and increasing investment in Palestinian institutions, economic resilience, and private-sector development.

The analysis highlights how international actors are gradually moving beyond traditional humanitarian assistance toward supporting the institutional and economic foundations necessary for sustainable state-building. It further examines Palestinian public perceptions regarding international recognition, economic investment, resilience, and future statehood prospects.

Given the increasing international interest in questions of state-building, development, stability, and regional peace, I believe this article may be of particular interest to your readers and professional audiences throughout the region.
